CAPATIN CAVEMAN
Part of the glitch the system series, painted Allen gardens, Shoreditch
May 2022
Allen Garden has to be one of me favourite places to paint street art in the summertime.
fresh London graffiti, summertime vibes, music, the smell BBQ and spray paint makes for an awesome day out for artist and non-artists alike.
Always looking to push the boundaries within my artwork and develop my own unique identifiable style,
painting classic cartoon characters such as Hanna-Barbera's captain caveman allows me to develop my skills with a spray can whilst applying my own modern day Eyesaw twist with the addition of glitches and 3D anaglyph graffiti style.

SYSTEM ERROR
SYSTEM ERROR
A glitch in the system. Broken, corrupt, distorted...
Spawned into a world of systems, created and preserved by those in power over hundreds of years.
Systems of control, greed, class, and social status.
Living under the illusion of democracy and false hope, that your vote can make a difference… in belief that the system must remain.
These systems that serve only a few, are damaging, outdated, broken, and no longer work... if they ever have at all.
Eyesaw’s recent body of work “Glitch the system” possibly explores these ideas.. although arts is subjective and could just be a playful use of characters in public domain, designed to temporary distract from mundane life.
Either way questions should be asked and answers sought out.

NEW SERIES OF BUS STOP HACKS.
Bus Stop Advertising Hacks
Following on for the recent Subvert the city project and with a new fire in my belly I have once again found myself cheekily unable to resist the odd Bus Stop Advertising hack..
SUBVERT THE CTY
#SubvertTheCity will see people around the world take creative action against advertising and consumerism in public space as together we collectively re-imagine what our cities and societies could be in the age of consumerism.
Commercial advertising invades our spaces and all forms of media in order to influence our behaviours and serve big corporate interests. We believe that commercial advertising dominates cultures and gives more power to the wealthy, endangering democratic processes.
#SubvertTheCity will challenge corporate advertising all over the world, in order to imagine and re-build the cities and societies we want to live in that meet our shared human needs and those of the planet.
By challenging corporate advertising and media messages, people around the world will be taking creativity into the streets to support the struggle for social, economic and climate justice, as well as for human rights and dignity for all.
So imagine a better city, imagine a more democratic public space, or dream of a more equitable society. Then get together with some friends to create some public art, hold an event, host a workshop, or give a talk that addresses some of the concerns you have with how corporate media is influencing our minds, bodies and planet.

FILTERED ICONS
|
Pushing ideas and skills in new direction, "Filtered Icons" blurs the line between Warhol's pop-art celebrity icons and 21st century selfie culture.
‘In the future, everybody will be world famous for fifteen minutes." (Andy Warhol)
The internet, social media, apps and smart phones have provided the tools and platform that made Warhol's prediction from the sixties so true in this day and age.
Both images have been painted using acrylic on 30" x 40" deep edge canvas with a splattering of spray paint.
